You may not need an attorney to take over your entire family court case.

But that does not mean you should have to navigate it alone.

Family Law Guided™ is a limited-scope legal service designed for individuals who are representing themselves in an Arizona family law matter but want the guidance, strategy, and insight of an experienced family law attorney behind the scenes.

You remain in control of your case. We help you understand what is happening, evaluate your options, prepare for what comes next, and make informed decisions along the way.

WHAT'S INCLUDED

Your Family Law Guided™ membership includes up to 3 hours of attorney services each month, which may be used for:

• Attorney strategy consultations

• Legal advice regarding your Arizona family law matter

• Review of court orders and filings

• Review of correspondence from the opposing party or opposing counsel

• Review of proposed parenting plans and agreements

• Settlement strategy

• Review of settlement proposals

• Guidance regarding parenting time and legal decision-making

• Guidance regarding child support and spousal maintenance

• Guidance regarding enforcement or modification issues

• Property and debt division strategy

• Preparation guidance for mediation, conferences, and hearings

• Review of documents you are preparing to file

• Drafting or revising correspondence for you to send

• Strategic guidance regarding your next steps

Attorney time used for calls, document review, legal research, drafting, email communications, and other requested legal services counts toward the monthly 3-hour allotment.

YOU REMAIN SELF-REPRESENTED

Family Law Guided™ is not full-service representation.

The Rigsbee Law Firm will not file a Notice of Appearance or Notice of Limited Scope Representation with the Court under this monthly service.

You remain a self-represented party and are responsible for managing your court case, including:

• Filing documents with the Court

• Monitoring your court docket

• Keeping track of court deadlines

• Responding to filings

• Providing documents to our office for review

• Appearing at hearings and conferences

• Communicating directly with the Court

• Complying with court orders and procedural requirements

Our role is to provide legal advice and strategy within the specific services you request and we agree to provide.

WHAT'S NOT INCLUDED

Family Law Guided™ does not include:

• Court appearances

• Representation at hearings or trial

• Filing a Notice of Appearance

• Filing documents on your behalf

• Accepting service on your behalf

• Monitoring your court docket

• Managing your litigation calendar

• Emergency or expedited representation

• Depositions

• Extensive discovery

• Discovery management

• Trial preparation

• Evidentiary hearing preparation

• Major motion practice

• Appeals

• Direct representation in mediation

• Extensive drafting of petitions, motions, responses, or other substantive pleadings

• Communication with opposing counsel as your attorney unless separately agreed upon

• Services requiring more time or involvement than can reasonably be provided within this limited-scope arrangement

If your case requires additional legal services, we will discuss whether the Firm is willing to accept that work under a separate limited-scope engagement or full-representation agreement and additional retainer.

Enrollment in Family Law Guided™ does not guarantee that the Firm will accept additional representation.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Enroll

Complete the enrollment process and submit your first monthly payment.

2. Conflict & Case Review

Before representation begins, the Firm must complete its conflict review and determine that your matter is appropriate for Family Law Guided™.

3. Get Legally Guided

Once your engagement is accepted, you can use your monthly attorney time for strategy, advice, document review, and other services included in your plan.

4. You Handle the Court. We Help You Prepare.

You continue representing yourself while having an attorney available behind the scenes to help you make better-informed legal decisions.

MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP

$1,500 per month

Includes up to 3 hours of attorney services per billing month.

Unused hours do not roll over.

Unused hours cannot be banked, transferred, credited, or refunded.

Your subscription renews monthly until canceled in accordance with your agreement.

This service may be a good fit if:

• You want an attorney to help you understand your options before making decisions.

• You need help reviewing documents or proposed agreements.

• You want guidance before mediation or a hearing.

• You have an ongoing parenting, support, enforcement, or post-decree issue.

• You want strategic legal support without hiring an attorney to fully litigate your case.

Family Law Guided™ may not be appropriate if you have an imminent trial, emergency proceeding, highly contested evidentiary hearing, extensive discovery dispute, highly complex financial matter, or a case requiring substantial attorney involvement.

The Firm reserves the right to determine whether a matter is appropriate for limited-scope services.
